My mother's mother was Ida White of Chocataw Okla or near. My mother had many friends on the reservation. Ofter taken to be part Cherekee with with their features. And so have I to some degree.She married Hugh Heiskell. Where should I begin looking?

View all posts (40) | MOVIES IN THE PARK 2008  What a summer. Last night we held our final Movies-in-the-Park and once again we had a sizable turn out. The Tahlequah Main Street Board Members would like to thank our Director, Danny Perry, for making it all happen. Without his dedication and hard work it would have been impossible to pull off. We also want to thank everyone who volunteered to help setup and take down equipment and tend to the seemingly endless list of details required to produce these events.Finally, we want to give a special THANKS to everyone that attended our showings. You made it a tremendous SUCCESS!!! We have already started thinking about next summers movies and ways we can improve. We would like to hear your ideas as well. Or anything you would like to let us know about so we can make next year bigger and better. THANKS TAHLEQUAH….. On Thursday, August 21, 2008, Main Street board members will be hitting the streets again, continuing our business owner survey. We started last week and received very good feedback from the businesses we were able to get to. There are, after all, over 100 business in the Main Street programs boundaries. Basically we want to find out from owners how the Main Street Association can help. With this information we will set our annual goals and work directly with business on achieving them. If you have any Ideas or suggestions please contact any board member or the TMSA director. You can always post questions through this website in the chat room, forum or send an email to the director. The old Supreme Court building will be completely restored and it will look the way it did during it's most significant period in history, 1875.
