Robert Hammons is the son of Junior and Barbara Hammons he was born and raised in Tahlequah and graduated Tahlequah High School in 1978, after serving in the Marine Corps and being stationed in San Diego California, North Carolina Camp LeJeune and over seas he settled in Leon Kansas he works as a machinist he lives on his farm with his Wife Doris he has three children and two many grandchildren to keep track of!

Tahlequah Proudly honors Robert G. Hammons who served as an E3 Lance Corporal in the United States Marine Corps from 1978-1984. 
This banner is located on Muskogee Avenue on the east side between Choctaw and Chickasaw Street. ​​
