Twenty-two year old Charles Bynum entered the United States Air Force on June 16, 1968. After basic training at Amarillo AFB, Texas, he attended Security Police school at Lackland AFB, San Antonio, Texas. After a year at Altus AFB, Altus, Oklahoma, he was deployed to Phu Cat, Vietnam Nam, serving in the Security Police Squadron. After returning stateside he was assigned security police duty at Blytheville, Arkansas. He was honorably discharged on June 16, 1972. Charles’ family is extremely proud of the patriotic and productive citizen he is today.
