Chance Guthrie, 25, began serving in the United States Air Force in 2013. He joined a couple of months after graduating high school while attending his first semester at Northeastern State University.
"I never even thought of joining until randomly in my first semester of college it just clicked in my head," he said. Chance has been to bases in England, Scotland, Turkey, Qatar, Spain and all over the U.S. In 2016 and 2018, Chance served in Operation Inherent Resolve and was stationed at Incirlik Air Base in Turkey and Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, respectively. Chance is now stationed at Tinker Airforce Base in Oklahoma City. Chance is also a Cherokee Nation citizen.
