Ron enlisted in the United States Navy Reserves in 1962 and was honorably discharged in 1967 when he joined the United States Navy. He was placed in the Naval Enlisted Scientific Education Program to attend the electrical engineering school at the University of Colorado. After serving in the Vietnam war Ron was honorably discharged in 1972. Ron recently passed away and will be interred at the national cemetery in Ft. Gibson, Oklahoma.
